"My World Tickled Pink"

32½" Light Red Jennet
DOB: July 13th, 2006
Birth Height: 21"

Sire: Ass-Pirin Acres Andiamo, 32½" Dark Red
Grand Sire: LN Rising Son, 30" Red
     Grand Dam: Ass-Pirin Acres Antibella, 31" Gray-Dun

Dam: My World Precious, 32½" Light Red
Grand Sire: Rearview's Red Rock, 32½" Dark Red
Grand Dam: My World Maude, 35" Gray-Dun

What a little knock out this girl is! Perfect conformation and the most outgoing personality ever. This little lady runs after anyone who comes into the pasture and wants you to pay attention to her...and only her! Everyone who comes to meet the donkeys wants to take Pinkie home with them.

Update: 7 years ago I sold this girl to a very persuasive couple who talked me out of her. She had one beautiful baby for me, Mossy Oak's Tickle Spot. Recently I had the opportunity to bring her back to add to my group and I pounced on it. Not knowing if she would get pregnant again after such a long vacation I put her in with Hot Tamale to give it a try. That was mid October and so far she has not come back into heat. I just love this pesty girl and wanted to get pink donkeys back in my breeding program.

Grand Sire: Wannabe Ranch Rainier, 29½" True Black

Grand Dam: PDF Black Velvet, 28¾" True Black

Wow!!!!! Thrilled with this exceptional and perfect little girl. Our fall season blessed us with 5 healthy amazing girls. Nova is everything you hope for in a spotted donkey. Small, compact, correct in every way. She also has a real 'look at me' attitude and demands attention. At a few months old at the time of this writing she stands on your rake if you are trying to work and circles around your legs if you aren't paying attention to her. She would be amazing in the show ring but also a wonderful donkey to just love on. Was going to keep her but a very persistent customer talked me out of her. She will be going to her forever home with her big sister Pixie.

My granddaughter and I had been on a Audrey Hepburn movie binge so with momma being Sabrina we had to name this baby girl Tiffany. It is very fitting as she is a petite and classy looking little black jennet. At a few months old now her beige muzzle has turned jet black. This is the first time I have seen that happen. Tiffany is a petite and sweet girl and will be a wonderful addition to any home whether for a pet or a breeding jennet.

DOB:

Sire: Mossy Oak's Panache Aplenty, 27½" Black
Grand Sire: Mossy Oak's Turbo Charge, Black
Grand Dam: Mossy Oak's Jamaica Me Smile, Dark Spot

Dam: Short Assets Seleese, 30½ Black/White Spot
Grand Sire: Miller's Mr. Spock, 33" Dk Brn/Wht Spot
Grand Dam: Short Assets Black Diamond, 31¼" Black

This boy’s mom went though a lot to bring him into this world. I realized during labor that he was not going to come out and loaded Seleese up and headed for the clinic. Upon examination they found his head turned back and had a very difficult time correcting him. Seleese was put under general anesthesia and suspended and they were able to intubate him while he was still in the birth canal to keep his oxygen level going during all the time it took to get him out. Miraculously he was born alive though they had to administer CPR. He was a very strong boy and he was not about to stay down once he got going. Momma took to him immediately when she came out from anesthesia. This was a true miracle birth and because of the situation we named him Rocky Road. This boy is full of spunk, personality and love!!!! He will be a tremendous asset to anyone’s donkey farm. He has beautiful markings and excellent conformation.

Grand Sire: Satroma Ranch Tomahawk, 31½" Dark Red
Grand  Dam: Pine Grove Farm Lollipop, 33¼" Dark Brown

Tootsie Pop surprised me with a tiny jennet born 5 weeks before I expected her to arrive. Weighing in at just 18 pounds she is absolutely the cutest little thing ever. I have never seen this color before and I am pretty sure it will change as she gets a bit older. The color of honey right now but guessing she will frost out to become a Fully Frosted Spotted White. This little girl will be staying at Mossy Oak Ranch as I just adore her and at time of writing this she is actually now 4 months old and still tiny and the calmest easy going little donkey ever. You can do anything to her and she is good with it. Fell over during her first hoof trim as she was so relaxed.

One minute Dolly was walking across the front lawn and five minutes later she plopped down and delivered this beautiful jet black girl. It was almost done before it started. Love these easy textbook deliveries. This little jennet is stunning and sweet and has the biggest ears I have ever seen on a baby. I reall,y really want to keep her but usually I end up selling these babies to very persuasive customers. And when you see the connection between the right person and the right donkey it is hard to say no. Earidessa will be a fantastic future broodjennet and a great addition to any quality breeder’s herd.

Dam: Flying K Caterina,30¼" Light Red
Grand Sire: My World Cheyenne, 31½" Dark Red
Grand Dam: Schrater's Storm Cloud, 31¾" Dark Gray

I came home from the grocery store to find Caterina off by herself in the back pasture and a small extra set of legs standing behind her. She gave no indication she was close to foaling so I didn’t have her in my foaling barn yet. What a nice surprise to see this beautiful red baby boy!!! I am late in updating my babies for 2022 and as the months go on I have never had a foal so willing to learn everything and be such an incredible love sponge. He loves having his halter on and goes everywhere with me, with or without a lead rope. Anything and everything for attention. He is as correct in conformation as they come. Picante will be an outstanding herd sire or an awesome lovable pet. He wasn’t born when any others were and his best friend is our great big donkey Rose!

Birth Height: 20"

Sire: Ass-pirin Acres LN Rising Son, 30" Light Red

     Grand Dam:LN Rosine Gray

Dam: Flying K Caterina,30¼" Light Red
Grand Sire: My World Cheyenne, 31½" Dark Red
Grand Dam: Schrater's Storm Cloud, 31¾" Dark Gray

I purchased Caterina in December from AssN9 Ranch in Oklahoma. She was heavy in foal to Rising Son who I have always admired. I love the "pink" donkeys and had sold all of mine. I was excited to add Caterina and her sister, Valentina, to my herd. I was beyond thrilled to see this beautiful little pink girl who popped right out and was up in 5 minutes and nursing in 20 minutes. I really would love to keep her but I feel she will be a great one to be sold with Hallie. I only like to sell in pairs as these babies become fast friends when raised together and it is too stressful to sell them singly. Dazzie will definitely be a beautiful addition to a breeding herd. However, she is a real pocket donkey so would also make an awesome pet.

Jammie had a textbook delivery of this beautiful little girl at around 3:00 a.m. After a rough start to this year's foaling season with 2 stillborns and then the trouble with Lily's baby all I could say was a big Hallelujah when this girl was born. Hallie is a gorgeous baby and as sweet as they come. She was born gray and white but is frosting out more each day and will likely be Fully Frosted Spotted White when mature. I absolutely love this little girl. Great addition to a spotted breeding program or as a wonderful pet.

Since mama Lilly had a c-section 2 years ago we decided to play it safe and foal her out at the clinic. The ultrasound showed baby malpositioned and when she went into labor no feet or head could be reached. Under general anesthesia and moments before undergoing another c-section our wonderful vet was able to correct foal and get him out. He didn't start breathing on his own was intubated until he came around. This boy has made up for his rough start and is an uber friendly, healthy and correct little pocket donkey. He loves everyone and will be a great addition to any family who is willing to give him all the love and attention he deserves.

This boy is a real showstopper!! He has the amazing presence and conformation of a true show donkey. Such a beautiful head also. I bought his mama, Flying K Valentina, and her sister, Caterina, from AssN9 Ranch in Oklahoma. I had my eyes on these jennets for a very long time. I waited to be sure they were bred to Rising Son, a jack I loved, and bought them both in December. I could not be happier with the outcome of this endeavor. Hip Hop is a real sweetheart and has become best friends with the little black jack foal, Bee Bop. I want to sell them together so they can remain lifelong buddies.

Another early bird born at our ranch. Penny, who had only a small bag and none of the typical signs came up for breakfast with this little beauty in tow. What a beautiful and petite baby girl. Not sure yet of her true color but she is awesome and loves, loves, loves to give everyone kisses and wrap herself around them. Nice small head and great conformation on this jennet. Penny's first two foals by Moony were Fully Frosted Spotted White like he is. This one decided to take after her stunning mama. I couldn't be more pleased with this result. Cinnabon will make a great addition to anyone's farm.

Evening of the 22nd and Nutmeg looked close to delivering even though she was only a bit past 11 months gestation. My girls tend to foal at 12 to 13 months. I left her with the herd thinking no way would she foal so soon. Well the next morning she did not come up for breakfast and panic set in. As I started my search I noticed in the lower pasture a beautiful red foal running circles around it's mother. Thank God and yippee!!! A beautiful feisty perfectly correct little girl. Just what I was hoping for. In the days following she is a very friendly lap donkey who comes running every time she sees me. She will make an awesome addition to anyone's farm.      Grand  Dam: MGF Ane Bonney, 32" Gray & White Spotted

This pretty girl was born under this year's Super Moon hence the name Moonshadow. She is the sweetest most gentle little donkey just like her momma who I totally adore. Sadly she was born with a dislocated C1 vertebrae where her neck attaches to her skull. Luckily it has not slowed her down one bit as she runs around as if trying out for the Kentucky Derby. She nurses and eats just fine and the only issue at this point is that she holds her head out and up more than normal. She does not appear to have any discomfort. She will be re evaluated on a month by month basis for possible surgery or chiropractic care to correct the problem. For now I will just love her to pieces.

Update! Moonshadow has shown amazing improvement as we had hoped. As she is growing the vertabrae is slowly moving into place. This is not a genetic issue and once resolved it will be history. She will make an awesome breeding jennet or a very lovable addition to any family. She is a besutiful girl and so loving and sweet.

Not sure if this guy is really a real donkey. Looks more like a stuffed animal or maybe a mini calf?? He thinks he is a human. Has no clue what social distancing is. I cannot walk 3 feet without him coming up and wrapping himself through my legs and leaving slobbery kisses all over me. He had a bit of a rough start and took several hours to get the nursing thing down but he is making up for lost time and now there is no stopping him. He has a puppy dog personality and needs to be with a family who wants to spend a lot of time loving on him. He looks to maybe be a wooly as well.

Grand  Dam: Itsy Bitsy Samsara, 30¼" Dark Red

This beautiful boy was born at 1:30 Sunday afternoon. He is an 'oops' baby as I had planned to breed Beauty to Hot Tamale for a red baby this time. Panache' who took advantage of an unlocked gate had other plans! Though I must say this cross did produce an outstanding offspring. He is black like Panache with a touch of Mahogany and the excellent bone and conformation of both his parents. Sweet as a bug and very kissable. Extremely people friendly like all my babies are. Surprize will make a great addition to your family.

Grand Dam: My World Precious, 31" Light Red

This little girl was born out in the back 40 in a horrible wind and rain storm. Penny did not look close to foaling so I mistakenly let her spend the day with her friends. When I found them later that day the baby was limp and almost lifeless suffering from neonatal maladjustment syndrome. I rushed her to the Equine Clinic ICU where she spent the next 4 days. With very intensive care you have a 50/50 chance with these babies. They either die or, as in this case, they make a full recovery with no residual effects. She is our Little Miracle baby and thinks she belongs in the house with the rest of the humans. Weeks later now she is the silliest most active baby ever. I cannot walk around to do my work outside without her wrapping herself around my legs and following me everywhere. Thinking I should change her name to Holy Terror or Hell On Wheels!!! I will decide a little later if she will be offered for sale or if she needs to stay here to keep me in line.

I purchased Purty from Sue Odell of Misty Meadows Miniature Donkeys when she sold the last remaining donkeys in her herd. Her keepers. I bred her to Short Asset's Check Me Out shortly before I sold him and they produced the most adorable tiny black jack, Mossy Oak's Nitro, on my birthday this year May 31, 2018. Purty is 17 now so I am debating whether to retire her as she had many foals for Sue in her lifetime or breed her one last time. Will decide several months after she weans Nitro. One of her prior babies was Misty Meadows Briar Patch, a darling spotted jack.

Jammie was bred to Hot Tamale in February of 2018. So needless to say I have spent many sleepless nights waiting for this baby to arrive. After watching her like a hawk for the past 7 weeks she decided to wait until I went to town and then plopped down in the front yard and foaled. We came home to find him just making his first attempts at standing. So happy all went well. He is a beautiful boy and sweet as can be. We have been trying out several names on him such as High Beam, Hot Smudge Sunday, Silver everything you can think of. For now we will settle on this one but subject to change. You are sure to fall in love with this guy as he is pretty irresistable.

Tootsie foaled 3 weeks early and had no milk yet. It was a frantic several hours getting her milk going and milking out other girls in the meantime to get him some nourishment. He nursed from momma too and apparantly received enough colostrum from her to achieve passive transfer of immunity. A few days later he went downhill for a bit. With our awesome team of vets and my awesome homecare (hehe) he was up and running in no time. And since then he is the fastest kid on the block. He thinks he runs the place. Friendly as can be and absolutely adorable. Sure to be a favorite around here. Pics coming soon!

I always put my jennets who are close to foaling in the barn at night under the barn cam so I can keep a close watch and be present at the foaling. Well this year I have been fooled 3 times now. Bummble Bee had a small milk bag but nothing like it should have been the night before she foaled. I guess she wanted her space so held onto that milk until the last second. The next morning upon heading out with arms full of hay to feed the girls there was this little surprise waiting for me. All I could say was "Well Glory Bee'!!!!! Coming up with names is sometimes a challenge and with momma being Bummble Bee I had been thinking for weeks what name would work with that. As soon as I saw it was a little girl I realized I had already named her!!!! Glory is as cute as a button and friendly friendly friendly!!!! I would love to keep her but I can't keep them all. If you are looking for a gorgeous correct feisty friendly little jennet to add to your family then you have surely found her.

I have had a few breeders and several other customers waiting impatiently and hopefully for the arrival of this foal out of Seleese by Panache". Their prior foals speak for themselves. Breeders wanting a dark spot jack and others wanting a dark spot jennet. Well Seleese did not disappoint!!! This beautiful tiny boy is awesome!! Everything we could have hoped for. We have named him Troubadour which means a minstre; or singer of romantic ballads. Well what does a little breeding jack do?? Sings to his girls. Alot!! He will be offered for sale to the folks on my waiting list in the order of their request. He will make an awesome breeding jack with lots of dark spots and small donkeys in his family tree. Not to mention fantastic conformation all around.

We hoped all week while the grandies were visiting that Bon Bon would have her baby. But nope!!! She had her own plan. I had to take the kids back on this day and since she had white milk this morning I knew this would be it. I was gone for 5 hours and hoped and prayed she would foal with no problems or wait until I returned. My prayers were answered when I drove up and parked and she looked at me, plopped down and started having this baby. It was like she was saying "What took you so long mom?" And wow what a beautiful little jennet she delivered. All by herself with no problems. This little girl came out friendly and tries to climb all over me. She is a beautiful little thing and I wish I could keep her but I cannot keep them all. She will go fast as I have several people waiting for spotted girls.

Our first foal of 2018 and what a beautiful boy he is!! Rainy is a little teddy bear lap donkey and the spitting image of his sire, Moony. My mom calls him Mini Moony.  I really love this color in a donkey and he wears it very well. Everyone who visits falls madly in love with him but he sold within minutes of his long awaited birth. It started raining within minutes of his first steps so that helped us choose a name. He is a perfectly built little guy and was a loverboy from the first minute. So so excited to see this beautiful, drafty, spotted girl emerge. She is cute as a bug with a darling face and correct as can be. I swore I was going to keep Sabrina's first foal by Check Me Out, a beautiful black girl named Earreziztable. But a year ago a very persistant lady talked me out of her. So now I aim to keep this wonderful jennet of Sabrina's also by Check Me Out. Check Me Out consistently outdoes himself with his babies. I kept his son Moony and really should sell Checky but wow!! Well this little girl came out singing. Usually a few weeks after a foal is born they try to find their bray with a little 'eh' here and there. Not 10 minutes after this little lady came into the world she let out a full hee haw looking for momma and milk. I was so stunned I couldn't believe it. So I appropriately named her Karioke!! She is a real beauty!! Dark black coat with big beautiful eyerings and huge kind eyes. She is a real sweetheart too!! Always looking to be loved on but not too pushy about it. She will make someone an awesome show jennet or a great addition to their breeding program.

Blue's momma came to our farm for breeding 6 years ago. A year later when her previous owner invited me to come see this baby it was love at first sight!! I informed her at that time that if she ever decided to sell Blue that I would buy her. So 4 years later I did just that. Blue has everything I like in a donkey. She is heavy boned, short coupled, nice round behind, beautiful legs and Indy's short and attractive head. We are thrilled to add her to our group of select brood jennets and will be breeding her to our Red Herd Sire, Hot Tamale, in the Fall of 2011.

Mossy Oak's Prince Harry

Bursting at the seams with pride over this beautiful beautiful boy!!!! Hot Tamale throws amazing babies every single time!! With a beautiful momma like Jacee I didn't expect anything less than perfection. But he really knocks my socks off. Luckily this guy was reserved before he was ever born or I would be tempted to keep him. He is a total lap donkey and acts like a little puppy. I was going to name him Patriot since he was born on Memorial Day but his new owner Jackie is calling him Prince Harry and with her English accent I can't help but love his new name!!

I purchased Lizzy's momma, Olivia, already bred. She came from KZ Asspirations in New Jersey. Momma is a very sweet and trusting jennet and Lizzie is her first foal. Olivia is a fantastic momma and let us have full hands on right off the bat. Carrying Lizzy all over the place she rests her head on my shoulder and says where to next?? Amazing baby with a beautiful color pattern and a black spot on her face. And a smudge on her forehead to boot. She was already spoken for as well and will be going to live with Prince Harry when the time comes.

So this little guy was 3 weeks late. We originally called him Johnny Come Lately but Johnny doesn't really work for me as a donkey name. Cocomo fits him and is a bit of a spinoff of his dam's name. He is a very sweet little guy and loves attention. To be honest I really thought I would get a spot this time but I am not disappointed with this adorable little fellow. He loves to play with his 2 older brothers and will only be sold as a pair with one of them. Come and meet him and you will fall in love.

After a horrible week prior to this little one's birth which consisted of the birth of a stillborn foal and then the death of my Dad, I was feeling an all time low. I came outside in the morning and was surprised by this beautiful and perfect little gray jennet. She was sweet and cuddly and perfect!!!! Once again my hope was renewed. Many of us breeders have been so consumed with breeding for the exotic colors that we have all but bred out the beautiful grays. I only had one gray left, this little ones mama Patty. I have been hoping for another gray and am so thrilled to get this beautiful girl. She is Patty's third foal and she has given me a black, a spot and now this gorgeous gray. Hope will be retained as a future broodjennet and a symbol to remind me that even when life gets you down there is always Hope!!!

We are thrilled but not surprised at the fantastic little jack Bumbles foaled. With a sire like Hot Tamale and a dam like Bumble Bee we would have been surprised if he wasn't perfect!!! As we tried to come up with a name for either a candy or a buzzing insect to follow in the parents' names this boy spent all day every day buzzing around the property. Nonstop!!! A total pocket donkey he is. Some customers came up with the name Buzz Lightyear which was very cute "if" you like the character. Ehh!!! We do however love Big Bang Theory and so changed his name to Sheldon's famous saying...Buzz Zinga!!! And he lives up to this name. Buzz is a super sweet and friendly boy with a showstopper build. He would make an excellent breeding jack or show donkey. And is also suited to be a totally awesome pet.

We were blessed with another gorgeous little jack here. Surprised by the red in his coat though mom and dad do both have a lot of red in their backgrounds. I can carry this boy all over the place and he never cares to be put down. He just rests his head on my shoulder and says "Where are we going this time?" Loves to have his belly rubbed and his feet picked up and fiddled with. He is very personable. I so love this little guy. I would keep him if I could but I know he will make a wonderful addition to anyone's family. Not offering for sale yet as I have people on a waiting list and I am waiting to see what other babies are born this fall that I can pair him up with.

He has perfect legs, bite, overall conformation, a tiny head and the black and white spots that I have not been able to produce until now!! He will make an exceptional herd sire and show donkey. Adorable personality as well. If you want to add an outstanding boy to your program look no further. Domino has it all.

Okay, now, this was a very exciting and nervewracking night. This is Minuet's first foal and she is small so this is always a nervous time. Well, we had nothing to worry about and everything went like clockwork. She delivered this beautiful little spotted girl like she had done it a million times. Perfect, stocky, heavy-boned baby, a spot no less, a first time momma who stood on 3 legs to help baby find the milk. This little girl is amazing. She has looked like a draft horse donkey right from the get go. She is full of piss and vinegar and keeps her mother running all day but if she sees a person anywhere she heads right over to get her loving in. We are as proud as punch to offer this little dynamite for your consideration. For Sale $3500 Firm!

This beautiful tiny little boy was born on the front lawn in the middle of the afternoon. Perfect time and place. He is as sweet as pie and a young man named Boden who already purchased Buckaroo and was waiting day by day for this little guy to come along was instantly taken with this little bitty donkey. He also named him for me which was much appreciated. Boomer is a gentle little donkey and cannot get enough loving from anyone. He wants to snuggle all day long. As soon as he is a few months old he will head to the Willis farm along with his forever pal Buckaroo and the 2 moms who I am loaning to the family until the boys are ready to be weaned. Boomerang has the prettiest face and eyes I have seen. He will be a fun addition to the Willis family farm.

Miss Olivia arrived here from New Jersey in Spring of 2017 heavy in foal. Olivia is a beauty. Gorgeous spot pattern which is a bit lost on this furry picture but will get better photos later. Olivia is a very loving girl who does not understand personal space. Especially when you have food in your arms. She is a very attentive mom and an easy breeder and has earned her place on our farm. She had a gorgeous dark spotted jennet a few months after arriving here and after a nice rest she has been bred to Mossy Oak's Panache' for a December 2018 foal.

Well, of course, as we breeders always hope for first and foremost is a foal positioned correctly, an easy birth and a healthy baby. Every single one is a miracle!! Secondly, in all honesty when we are breeding spots we are secretly hoping to see a white foot appearing when the foal starts to emerge which usually shows us we are getting a spotted baby. Well, we may not have gotten that spotted we were waiting on but we were thrilled to pieces to see this absolutely perfect, stunningly gorgeous, healthy baby boy!! He is as good as it gets!!! We are certainly proud to put our name on this perfect speciman of a little donkey. And hours later he has the run of the place, kicking up his heels and running back to us for hugs and kisses. He will make a super addition to anyone's farm whether it be breeders, showfolks or a family who just wants a lovable and handsome donkey. $1250 as a gelding or $2500 as a jack.

We originally bought Dutchess to accompany Jacee on the long trek from Vermont to California as we didn't want Jacee to travel alone. We were pleasantly surprised when Dutchess arrived as she is a beautifully built little jennet. Dutchess has great bone and a nice wide chest and backend. With a small red sire such as Luciano we have many options for breeding this little girl. Because she is so petite we are waiting until she is 4 to begin her breeding career. I am sure she will not disappoint us. Stay tuned for updates

Mossy Oak's Ricochet

This little guy created quite a ruckus as he tried to enter this world. I worked with his momma for over an hour trying to free a hind leg that was stuck up against his belly. That is an impoosible way to come through the birth canal. So after working to reposition him and pushing him back in 3 times and finally elbow deep I was able to dislodge the hoof. But all appears well now. He is healthy and energetic and running all over the place. His momma and I on the other hand seem to have aged a few years during this ordeal. Rico is a sweet and lovable lap donkey already and though only a few days old he is quickly becoming a favorite around the farm. This adorable and sweet boy will be offered for sale. Sugar is a real cuddle bug and  she is so darn cute. She is still young but already looking like a showstopper. Sugar is in foal to our red jack, "Tomahawk", for a Spring 2008 foal.  This should be a great baby out of two small, stocky and very correct parents!

Update! Wow! Sugar foaled the most gorgeous, tiny, correct jack on July 8, 2008. See "Hot Tamale" on the foals page. I just knew this match would produce a fantastic foal and she and Tomahawk did not disappoint us! We will definitely repeat this breeding after she has weaned this little guy.

I have said this before but WOW WOW WOW!!! This girl has it all. One of the most beautiful babies we have had. All babies are cute but this girl goes way beyond that. She is stunning. My photography doesn't do her justice. And her personality is almost indescribable. She is never more than a few inches behind you and has to visit every other donkey while they are eating. She has a real "Here I am and aren't I the most special one" attitude to boot. Personal space is not in her vocabulary. Love this girl!! Hurry and buy her or I will certainly decide to keep her!!

Our beautiful jennet "Blue" who we loved so much and never gave up on finally settled as bred a year ago at the age of seven. Now she has blessed us with this bundle of joy and he was definitely worth the wait. I cannot say enough about this tiny, adorable boy. He has become a facebook sensation and everyone who meets him wants to take him home. I always love the masked spotting markings. His white knee sock adds to his character as well. I am sure he will still be a knockout when he is grown. And conformation?? He has a nice chest and beautiful little straight legs and in my opinion is perfect all over. If I didn't have five breeding jacks already he would certainly be a keeper.

Love love love this little girl. Most beautiful face ever and HUGE ears. Great legs and a perfect body. Unbelievably large personality for such a cute little thing. We tried to come up with a name that went along with her momma, Tootsie Pop, and her grandma, Lollipop. Well that pool was limited. We didn't want to name her DumDum or Sucker so went for other candy names. My 91 year old Dad came up with Baby Ruth. So there you have it. She will be a great asset to any farm. Definitely show worthy and thinks she is a lap dog so suitable for any family. Act quickly as these babies are selling as soon as they are listed. Approved homes only as is always the case.

We are so excited about the birth of this special little jennet. Born on Labor Day to her first time parents, Jacee and Moony. We thought we would get a FFSW or maybe a gray with this pairing but were surprised to get this deep red/brown 'bay pattern' with black legs and white muzzle, eye rings and belly. This little girl has it all. A beautiful small head, nice bone, straight legs and a compact and squared up body. She should do someone proud in the show ring. Lovable as can be and very adored by her momma and us as well. Thank you to our daughter in law, Chris Morrell, for coming up with this name. It is perfect and, oh, so true. We will most likely add her to our red breeding program but are open to serious offers. For now we just want to enjoy her.

A picture is worth a thousand words. I love love love this little boy!!! He is almost a carbon copy of his full brother our little FFSW breeding jack "Once In A Blue Moon". Born during our stormiest rain filled month, we couldn't resist naming him Noah! This guy steals the hearts of everyone who sees him. He is very small but his personality is HUGE. Very lovable and cuddly but full of piss and vinegar as well. He loves running circles and kicking up his heels. Noah is very correct and as soon as I figure out my video downlod and send I will post some video to show how absolutely square and straight this boy is. He will be ready to leave in May if you can pull him away from me.

My farrier was here trimming donkey hooves and Seleese was trying to wait it out to go have her baby outside. We were on the last donkey when she decided she could wait no longer. She laid down and delivered this feisty little boy within 15 minutes. It was an exciting event for my farrier who had never witnessed a birth of a foal and his daughter and granddaughters who were along to play with donkeys. And, of course, even though this was baby 105 for me, every birth is as exciting and nervewracking as the first one was. This little man was up and running within 5 minutes. He is very strong and healthy with the straightest set of legs and a very upheaded presence about him. He will be a great addition to anyone's show or breeding program. He is lovable as can be. Don't let him get away.. Will be ready for his new home in late July.

This little jack wasted no time once he started to enter the world. Lickety Split started contractions at 10:45 and he was trying to run out of the birth canal by 10:55. Up 10 minutes after he was born and nursing shortly thereafter. Started running and jumping a couple hours later and at a week old he hasn't stopped. Beautiful boy with a very heads up, showy presence he is sure to do great in the showring. My foals and moms spend their first month in our front yard where they get alot of hands on and loving. I almost can't walk from point A to point B as he runs right into me, surrounds me and drops to my feet. Built like a little tank this flashy little guy needs to go to a showhome. It is exciting to get a gray donkey as most of us breeders have tried so hard to achieve all of the exotic colors and have forgotten how beautiful a dark gray donkey really is. She also has a lot of black and white accents which makes her truly unique. Gi Gi is very affectionate and willing to please and will make a wonderful addition to anyone's farm. I know there probably isn't a color called Mahogany Black but that is what he is. No cross and just beautiful. Tiniest little head and big kind eyes. His color with his curly coat reminded me of a raisin. But there are already jacks named Raisin Cain (a name I love) etc. So I thought about what would be fitting in line with my breeding program and goals and that is how I came up with his name. He is a real head turner and I know everyone who sees him will want to take him home. Tiny boy with excellent conformation and an endearing nature. And, of course, I want to keep him but we can't keep them all. Or can we???

Don't let her small size fool you. This is a little bundle of Dynamite! Josie is as cute as a bug and she has the "poor me" look down to a science. My nickname for her is "Eeyora". She loves to be hugged and rubbed and told how cute she is. Josie is very correct and stocky. I was very nervous about leaving her alone when she was close to foaling. But she decided to have her baby 2 days after Chet's stroke and I wasn't home. She did it all on her own and she is an excellent mother. Josie is bred to Tomahawk for a March 2008 foal.

We were anxiously awaiting this foal since her full brother "Hot Tamale" (our future red herdsire) is the most fantastic donkey we have ever laid our eyes on. We were very surprised when "Silly" was born to see a black donkey out of this combination. She is however very compact and correct and a definite keeper. Silly is a total pocket donkey and won't leave anyone alone for a second. She is the main attraction when visitors show up and everyone wants to take her home. Maybe I should start locking my gate!

Wow! This little girl has more energy than six donkeys put together. She is a real spit fire and races around the place so fast I can't even get her on video. She is a very nicely built jennet as well and will surely do well in the show ring and your breeding program. That is "if" you can talk me into selling her. Once I see what the rest of the foals on the way have to offer I might consider selling her. She is a real gem this one.

So what are the chances that after 2 1/2 months since the last foal was born, 3 foals are born on the same day?? The two boys were born within 10 minutes of each other. And it was my brother's birthday!! My brother's name is Daniel George so it only made sense to name these boys after him. Georgie is a stunning little jack. He has amazing "presence" and would make an excellent show boy. He is very correct and runs around with his beautiful head held up high. He "knows" he is special. He has become best friends with his pal Danny Boy and I will only sell them as a pair. Don't wait too long as these guys will sell fast.

Yes, you are reading correctly. I had 2 little boys born Easter Sunday morning at exactly the same time. I had loads of names picked out for little Easter jennets and a few for Easter boys but after spending a few days around this one he pretty much named himself. No matter who it is or what they are wearing this little man will pull at your clothes and pick your pockets. He is a love machine and an absolutely stunning little jack. Nice long legs and a lot of presence and destined to be a performance donkey. Better get him quick before someone else does.

Here we go again. Another "perfect" little boy, small, stocky, square, with the straightest set of legs. I wish I could keep more jacks but as we all know there is only room for so many on each breeding farm. He is a real keeper and for someone looking for a great black herdsire with a great pedigree and super show presence here is your boy. He wraps himself around me like a half circle and comes running to love up to anyone who comes here. I cannot say enough about this boy. And I am a believer that most jacks should be gelded. But this boy is herdsire material all the way.

Tomahawk certainly did well by us with his last foal to be born on our farm. Honey is drop dead gorgeous and perfect as can be!! She has the most beautiful head with huge eyes and a muzzle I cannot stop kissing. Her beautiful red color stands out across the field. And she is definitely much sweeter than honey!! She will be a fantastic addition to anyone's herd and will be a real showstopper in the ring! It will take a lot of bribing to get me to part with her. She will most likely mature at about 31 to 32 inches.

We did not know Sydney was in foal and she kept getting bigger and bigger. Since we did not breed her to any jack we figured it must be Magic. We will be doing a DNA test on this little guy at 30 days old to see which of our jacks performed this trick. It may be Check Me Out as he puts this beautiful dished face on his foals. This is a very correct little boy and will do extremely well in the showring. He is very sweet and docile yet can play with the best of them when the other little boys get him going. Don't pass this guy up. He can be sold with his mother or with another little boy.

What a nice beginning to our 2009 foaling season. June Bug had her little bundle of joy within 5 minutes of her water breaking. A darling tiny girl. We wanted to give her a name with "Bug" in it such as Lady Bug or Doodle Bug, etc. After watching June Bug half the night on the barn cam we figured we should name her after a dance. She is a very good mother but into tough love for the first few hours and sort of flings the babies around in the stall. It looked like they were dancing and after thinking of different dance names we stumbled upon the perfect name for this adorable little girl, "JitterBug". I don't think she will mature over 30" and she has nice straight legs and a tiny little head with big beautiful eyes. At less then 24 hours old she already comes and nuzzles for kisses.

We purchased Rainier from Chris and Frank when he was just 2 weeks old. Then waited what seemed like forever until he was 6 months old to bring him home. All we could say was "WOW". How could such wonderful traits be in such a small package?? What an adorable little boy with such a nice wide chest and short stocky legs and the tiniest head with big beautiful eyes. And sweet as can be. Now as a two year old we are breeding him to a few select, small jennets. He has a great disposition and is easy to work with. Rainier gets stockier and more handsome every day and it is still packed into that compact and correct little body. He "WOWS" us so much that when Wannabe Ranch decided to retire from breeding donkeys several months ago we purchased his Dam who was expecting another little Rainier in March 2011. We also own 2 of his half sisters which tells you how we feel about his Sire's offspring!! His first foal is Mossy Oak's Minuet, a stunning, stocky and correct little jennet.

This boy's name says it all. He has it all and he knows he is irresistably cute and correct! I expected a great foal out of this pairing and I am delighted with the results! I have been offered a fortune for this boy and his mother by a very smart, persistant and kind lady and will probably kick myself in the butt later for not selling them, but cannot bring myself to part with his mother. However we will be offering Hot Shot for sale as soon as he is old enough to leave his dam. He is 100% herd sire material but he has buddied up with Max Factor (below) and we would love to see them stay together. And he is as sweet and personable as they come. He's for sale.

Sold!

Max's Unusual Striped Hoof
Mossy Oaks Mighty Max Facto

Thank God Josie delivered this little boy in the middle of the day while I was home. I was watching her on the barn cam and ran out to the barn when I noticed that instead of a translucent white sac coming out, it was a red bag!! I broke through the sac and located his two front legs and head and pulled him out with Josie's help. After clearing his face and nose he wasn't moving or starting to breathe. After a few pats and rubs on his chest he came to and I was able to start breathing again myself. He is a very healthy boy with tons of energy and we are thrilled to death with him.

Max is a very heavy boned, short and correct little jack. He is a masked spotted which means he can throw spotted foals. His sire, Short Asset's Check Me Out, is a fine example of the 'perfect' donkey and Max is definitely his daddy's son. He craves attention and loves to be kissed at least 50 times on the nose before letting you go about your business. His dam, Windcrest Little Josie, is one of my favorite donkeys. Max will make an excellent herd sire or a fantastic show donkey. He has a great build, a tiny head and huge kind eyes. Don't let this little boy get away!! We would love to see him stay together with is best friend, Hot Shot, see above, so we are offering them at a reduced price.

Classi is a beautiful black jennet. She came to us in October 2006 with a little jack foal at her side. Unfortunately her first owner passed away and she was put in a pasture with young jacks. She was bred at age one and foaled her first baby at 2 years of age. This is a HUGE NO NO!!! Fortunately she delivered without any problem and was a fantastic young mother. When she came to us we gave her 15 months off to be a kid again.

Classi is bred to Check Me Out for a September 2012 foal.

Dam: Double D Queen of Hearts 31½" Black
Grand Sire: Dewey Meadows Jackpot, 32" Black NLP
Grand Dam: McLeod's River Precious Gem, 33" Gray Dun

We purchased Tribute's dam from Chris and Frank of Wannabe Ranch in Oregon just a few months before she was due to foal. They were retiring from the breeding business and we were thrilled at the prospect of getting a full sibling to our Junior Herdsire, Wannabe Ranch Rainier, in this foal. Because they didn't ask us to use their ranch name we wanted to come up with something fitting to honor their fantastic breeding program. Hence the name "Tribute"!! This little boy is a sure future show donkey! He has a tiny head which is so necessary in a donkey with a black muzzle, beautiful legs, nice square body with a wide chest and stance for such a young boy. He carries himself like his Sire and Dam. Both have done well in the showring with his Sire, Dynamite, winning many championship etc. He would be a definite keeper for us if we didn't already own his full brother, Rainier. Tribute will be a fantastic addition to anyone's show string and breeding program. More photos and video available upon request.

I fell in love with this little girl when she was about 6 hours old. (via the internet!) Leona from U Misty U Miniature Donkeys in Grand Forks B.C. and I had been e-mailing back and forth about the other two jennets above and she sent me a picture of new born Ruby. That was all it took! We were sitting outside in the front yard watching Missy walk in a perfect circle for about an hour. She lay down and within 7 minutes delivered this beautiful little girl. It was a perfect "Tuesday Afternoon". And we almost named her just that. Then the grandkids said her adorable little black nose looked like a briquet. One thing led to another and we just had to name her Briquette Bardo! We call her BB for short. She is a very correct and beautiful little donkey. She comes running and wraps herself around you like a towel. She is the perfect example of what we strive for in our breeding program. Outstanding conformation and irresistable personality!!

What a surprise we discovered this morning when going out to feed. Coalette was not hand bred to any jacks last year because it was supposed to be her year off! I did have a few escape artists in September but didn't realize that Coalette had been bred during one of those escapades. I keep very accurate records and only know of Tomahawk escaping September 24th. So DNA testing will be done on this little beauty as soon as she is 30 days old. Whoever the Sire is he should be one proud Daddy to have this little beauty as one of his offspring!! To further confuse the issue, Moon had stolen the baby and did not want to give her back. Despite the chaos she is a very affectionate lap donkey. Leans into you and nuzzles constantly. She should be an easy donkey to train. And a real showgirl with perfect legs and bite and a nice wide chest!

Mambo Jambo in one dictionary means "badass" or "really cool dude". Now this was a great surprise as we never thought we would be blessed with another gorgeous spot like Mambo's beautiful full sister "Jamaica Me Smile". "Mambo Jambo" is an adorable small, chunky, extremely correct little jack. He has huge eyes and a short head and the straightest legs ever on a newborn! Reba produces incredible babies and Indy has never once disappointed us either. This superb little jack will be a great asset to any breeding program looking for fantastic conformation and color with a pedigree that has proven itself over and over again. Sophie is the most correct little girl ever!! She is beautiful and perfect from the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail. Her Dam, Sydney, was Grand Champion Western States at the age of two. No doubt this little girl will follow in her mom's footsteps. Her two full brothers, Spirit and Pavarotti, are also both show quality donkeys. We will no doubt repeat this pairing of Sydney and Indy who both pass their perfection to their progeny.

After keeping a close eye on Sydney for several days, we decided we just had to go to town for some things. Upon our arrival back home we spotted Sydney in the prettiest, shadiest area of our front lawn, lying down and in labor. The dogs were about 10 feet away from her, making sure she wasn't bothered by anything. She delivered her baby within 10 minutes of our arrival. Sophie has incredible presence and will be a natural in the showring. She has an endearing personality to go with her great looks which makes her a perfect package in any herd. I expect her to mature at about 32 inches tall.

This little boy is making a big hit around our farm! He literally hit the ground running. He was trying to run before his mother could get his head out! He was up walking around within 3 minutes of his birth and nursing before 15 minutes. He runs giant laps around our front yard and Velvet got her girlish figure back within 2 days of his birth. She burns alot of calories chasing him. He is gorgeous and correct in every way! Turbo runs right up to every one and has a real "Here I Am!" attitude. It will take a lot of bribing to give this little boy up!

I have only seen this unique combination of color and muzzle 2 other times and never here on our farm. Rosarita is a very correct jennet and at 2 days old comes running every time she sees us and dances around us, gets a few hugs and then spins off again. She is full sister to Bella Roana who was purchased by Lil Angels Donkeys last year. She has dark roaning throughout and big beautiful eyes and ears. I really want to keep this jennet but as we all know we simply cannot keep them all. Or can we??

She is bred to Querry's QT's Sir Logan (whose sire is LN Red Sonfire and dam is LN Codee) for a Spring 2007 foal. This baby should be a real knockout so keep checking back with us. Update! Faith had a bit of a rough start coming into this world on Good Friday. Sweet Pea decided to finally accept this 3rd baby of hers but the nursing part took some time. Then it appeared Faith was nursing fine but apparantly she was not. She spent 2 days in the Clinic in ICU receiving IV fluids and antibiotics and a plasma transfusion. Now she is back home and doing very well. Sweet Pea lets her nurse constantly and is being a very good mom. Faith is a beautiful little girl and has the prettiest markings with big beautiful eyerings. She is sweet as can be and loves being carried around by all her human friends. We have become very attached to her.

Roanie is a very "heads up" jack foal with the most gorgeous big eyes! He has a nice chest and straight legs, perfect bite and good bone. Chasing the wild turkeys and the cats is one of his favorite sports. But then he always runs right back to get hugs and rubs. Roanie is an exceptional little boy and will make a nice herd sire or a wonderfully sweet and handsome gelding. Don't pass this little guy up as he gets stockier and more lovable every day! All of my babies get along great with dogs too as my two labs hang out with me in the barn every day and think it is their job to babysit and play with the foals.

Cue-ey, as we call her, is a full sister to the famous Dodge City Miniatures Jack of Spades who sired MGF Future Link and many other Champions. She is the most love hungry donkey I have ever seen. She actually leans against you and wraps her head around you to keep you from hugging anyone but her. It is too early to tell how she will fill out but we have great expectations for her. Cue-ey foaled a nice smoky black jack on St. Patrick's Day, 2007. Lucky Charm can be seen on our 'for sale' page.

She is very attached to her friend, Margarita, so if you buy Lily you can have an added bonus (Margarita) for free. Another surprise! Silvie is the tiniest little thing and a most unusual color!! She is not a gray dun at all. She is a very pale silver with a white throatlatch and lots of white on her legs. Black cross and stripe and several garters down her back legs. Darker face but with light muzzle. Very unique and the sweetest little girl! Good bone structure yet so petite and fragile that she already injured her front knee. So she and momma are stalled until she gains her strength.

Pavi may not be tiny but he definitely has all the qualities necessary for a knockout "show" boy! He has a wide chest, straightest set of legs ever and a gorgeous head. Very handsome and all around perfect! But then what else would we expect from a Grand Champion Mom? So why did we name him Pavarotti? 10 minutes after he was born he made his first attempt to "sing!" This little boy has a fantastic personality, good looks and great conformation. He should mature under 32 inches. He had a bit of a rough start as his momma "Not So Sweet Pea", being a first time mom and all, decided she didn't want a baby after all. So he is a bottle baby. Or a bucket baby now. He will be available earlier than most since weaning him will not be an issue. He is best buddies with our black lab (who loves to steal his leftover milk) and is a very affectionate, playful little boy. See Buddy's Story in the Jan/Feb/Mar 2007 Issue of Miniature Donkey Talk Magazine!
