All our babies are handled
from the moment they are born (we haven't missed a birth yet) and many
times daily thereafter. We pick them up and carry them around, tap their
hooves, put our fingers in their mouths and ears and rub them all over
their bodies. Our foals learn to trust people completely as they associate
us with comfort and security. It always does my heart good when the
babies come running up for loves every time I walk into their pasture.
