Grand Dam: Short Assets Black Diamond, 31¼" Black

This boy's name says it all. He has it all and he knows he is irresistably cute and correct! I expected a great foal out of this pairing and I am delighted with the results! I have been offered a fortune for this boy and his mother by a very smart, persistant and kind lady and will probably kick myself in the butt later for not selling them, but cannot bring myself to part with his mother. However we will be offering Hot Shot for sale as soon as he is old enough to leave his dam. He is 100% herd sire material. And he is as sweet and personable as they come. He's for sale. Visit our 'for sale' page for more information!

Max's Unusual Striped Hoof
Mossy Oaks Mighty Max Facto

Thank God Josie delivered this little boy in the middle of the day while I was home. I was watching her on the barn cam and ran out to the barn when I noticed that instead of a translucent white sac coming out, it was a red bag!! I broke through the sac and located his two front legs and head and pulled him out with Josie's help. After clearing his face and nose he wasn't moving or starting to breathe. After a few pats and rubs on his chest he came to and I was able to start breathing again myself. He is a very healthy boy with tons of energy and we are thrilled to death with him.

Max is a very heavy boned, short and correct little jack. He is a masked spotted which means he can throw spotted foals. His sire, Short Asset's Check Me Out, is a fine example of the 'perfect' donkey and Max is definitely his daddy's son. He craves attention and loves to be kissed at least 50 times on the nose before letting you go about your business. His dam, Windcrest Little Josie, is one of my favorite donkeys. Max will make an excellent herd sire or a fantastic show donkey. He has a great build, a tiny head and huge kind eyes. Don't let this little boy get away!! He's for sale. "Mossy Oaks Tribute"

True Black Jack, no Cross, NLP
DOB:
3/18/11 @ 5:15am
Birth Height: 20¾"

Sire: Windcrest Little Dynamite, 32" Blk/Bwn
Grand Sire: Sunset Acres Hoops, 31½" Black NLP
Grand Dam: Windcrest Little Gidget, 32" Black

Dam: Double D Queen of Hearts 31½" Black
Grand Sire: Dewey Meadows Jackpot, 32" Black NLP
Grand Dam: McLeod's River Precious Gem, 33" Gray Dun

We purchased Tribute's dam from Chris and Frank of Wannabe Ranch in Oregon just a few months before she was due to foal. They were retiring from the breeding business and we were thrilled at the prospect of getting a full sibling to our Junior Herdsire, Wannabe Ranch Rainier, in this foal. Because they didn't ask us to use their ranch name we wanted to come up with something fitting to honor their fantastic breeding program. Hence the name "Tribute"!! This little boy is a sure future show donkey! He has a tiny head which is so necessary in a donkey with a black muzzle, beautiful legs, nice square body with a wide chest and stance for such a young boy. He carries himself like his Sire and Dam. Both have done well in the showring with his Sire, Dynamite, winning many championship etc. He would be a definite keeper for us if we didn't already own his full brother, Rainier. Tribute will be a fantastic addition to anyone's show string and breeding program. More photos and video available upon request. He's for sale. Visit our 'for sale' page for more information!
